Please read the instructions below carefully and follow them. Failure to do so may damage or destroy your Smarter.Yachts Node hardware
Ensure you have a stable internet connection during the firmware installation process
Firmware installation is only supported in Chrome or Edge. Safari is not supported
A USB connection is required for firmware installation
All data — including license key, configuration, and images — will be overwritten. Use Download Update for upgrades
Do not disconnect power or remove the USB cable during installation
Installation Steps
Use Chrome or Edge (Safari is not supported)
Connect your Smarter.Yachts Node using a modern USB-C cable
Click Connect
Select the entry with the prefix USB JTAG/Serial
Click Connect and wait. If a connection error occurs, unplug the Node V2, reconnect it, and try again.
Select Install Smarter.Yachts
Confirm by clicking Install
Wait until the installation is complete. This process takes between 1 and 5 minutes
Click Next, then X to close the installation dialog
The Node restarts in the default GW mode and creates its setup WiFi
Wait approximately 30 seconds for the Node to restart and create its setup WiFi
Connect your computer or phone to the Node setup WiFi. Enter the last 4 MAC characters to display the WiFi and setup URL QR codes:
WiFiSmarter.Yachts.XXXX
SecurityOpen WiFi — no password
The setup WiFi name ends with the last 4 hexadecimal characters of the MAC address (e.g. 4A04).
Return to this browser window and click Open Node Setup:
Complete the setup at
smarteryachts.local
(alternatively at
192.168.4.1).
The Node will then leave its setup WiFi and connect to the configured yacht WiFi.
Reconnect the computer to the WiFi network that was in use before the installation
Register your device in the support portal to receive your license key
Connect to your new Node
Enter the last 4 hexadecimal characters of the Node MAC address (example: 4A04).
